My review: spoiler free
I started watching Reign about a week ago on Netflix and the first couple episodes were alright but after episode 3 or 4 I was hooked. I wasn't expecting much going into it and expected it to be kind of boring if I am being honest, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how much I liked the show. the show takes place during 1557 in France and most of the show takes place in the French court. For some of season 1 there is a Love triangle, I personally am not a huge fan of love triangles in books or in movies/TV shows, but this one was quite brief. I really love the mystical bits of the show like the darkness of the woods, the potions that Catherine is known for and the ghosts that roam the French court. When I started watching I was curious about the accuracy of the show and although it's not completely correct, it is somewhat accurate and does follow the general timeline and includes historic events such as the Plague and the conflict between Protestants and Catholics. So far season 2 is not as intriguing as season 1 was but I am enjoying it very much.
